Working Principle – More Than Just Conveying

The feeder belt operates with high precision:

  1. Raw coal drops from the overhead hopper onto the belt.
  2. An adjustable metering gate levels the coal bed to ensure a constant cross-sectional area.
  3. Load cells beneath the belt, combined with belt speed sensors, calculate the instantaneous feed rate.
  4. This signal is fed back to the control system for closed-loop regulation.
