Polyester (PET) mesh belt is the most commonly used type of belt filter press, because of its acid and alkali resistance, resistance to stretching, moderate cost and other advantages, widely used in printing and dyeing sludge, textile wastewater, paper mill tailings, municipal wastewater, ceramic polishing wastewater, wine lees, cement plant sludge, coal washing plant sludge, iron and steel mill sludge, tailings wastewater treatment and so on.

Air Permeability 5~12 m³/m²·h Municipal sludge: 5~8 m³/m²·h; coarse-particle sludge may require higher values.
Pore Size 30~150 μm Activated sludge: 30~50 μm; mineral slag: 100~150 μm.

Paper sludge: Multifilament PET filter belts (air permeability 4~6 m³/m²-h, reinforced abrasion-resistant coating).

Food processing sludge: food grade PET, subject to FDA standards.
