Rolling iron streams, resounding oaths. On September 3rd, the grand military parade marking the 80th anniversary of victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression was held in Beijing. It showcased the new visage of a strong nation and a powerful military, while also awakening the shared historical memory and contemporary mission of the Chinese people.

  

On Tiananmen Square, troops marched with resolute steps and advanced equipment, while new combat forces made their debut, highlighting China's remarkable achievements in modernizing national defense. As the primary Eastern theater of the global anti-fascist war, the Chinese people were the first to engage in the fight against Japanese aggression and endured the longest struggle. Over 14 years of bloody combat, they paid a tremendous price with 35 million casualties among military and civilian populations, making an indelible contribution to the world's anti-fascist war effort.
